Executive leadership and board experience

Bel serves on numerous boards and is Chair of Dawn House Incorporated in Darwin, contributing her experience to an organisation supporting women and children affected by domestic and family violence. This governance role complements a career working with boards and executive teams on organisational direction and the decisions that affect their people.

Bel has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Westgate Health and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Masonic Care Tasmania, where her responsibilities extended across statewide residential services and the People & Culture function. Her executive experience informs the way she works with clients today, with an understanding of the responsibilities leaders carry and the practical effect their decisions have throughout an organisation.

Advice for the decisions that shape a workplace

Bel helps organisations consider how their workforce is structured and how roles are evaluated and remunerated, drawing on extensive experience in organisational redesign and job design. Her advice considers the work an organisation needs to deliver alongside the expectations it places on its people, helping leaders make decisions that reflect their circumstances.

Her work also encompasses industrial and employee relations, including enterprise bargaining and the resolution of workplace disputes, where careful preparation and clear communication are essential. Clients have recognised her ability to work through the detail with them, including Berry Street's published feedback on job evaluation and remuneration work.

“Bel’s clear communication, understanding of our needs, and timely delivery were particularly noteworthy.”

Jenny McNaughton, former Deputy CEO and Executive Director, Quality & Risk, Berry Street

Working through complex matters and developing leaders

As a qualified private investigator, Bel undertakes workplace investigations and facilitates discussions when workplace conduct or relationships require careful attention. Her approach draws on experience in complex employee matters and an understanding of confidentiality and procedural fairness, with findings grounded in the available evidence.

Bel also works with executives and managers through coaching and mentoring, drawing on her own leadership experience and her accreditation as a DISC Advanced Consultant. This work gives leaders an opportunity to examine workplace behaviours and develop their approach to the challenges they face, supported by advice that takes account of their organisation and the people within it.

Building The BelRose Group

The business reflects the values she has established for the team, with kindness and respect shaping the way people work together, alongside honesty, a positive approach and a genuine focus on the client.

Her professional experience spans every Australian state and territory, with strong connections across Hobart, Melbourne and Darwin and an appreciation for working with organisations in regional and remote communities. Alongside her business and board responsibilities, Bel also provides pro bono advice and support to for-purpose organisations, continuing her contribution to organisations whose work benefits the wider community.
